Sport England Funding into the Humber (January - March 2020)

£34,700 worth of Sport England funding was brought into the Humber by community sports clubs and organisations delivering physical activity and sport from January and March 2020.  

The funding is shared by the following organisations.

Allegro Gymnastic Academy Limited Small grants £10,000
Cleethorpes Community Sports and Education Small grants £7,800
City of Hull Sport and Community Group CIC Small grants £8,900
Beverley Braves ARLFC Flood relief £5,000
Kingston Bowling Club Flood relief £3,000

Cleethorpes Community and Sports Education were awarded £7,800 from Sport England’s, Small Grants. They will use the funding to purchase a more diverse range of gym equipment to increase their current gym provision, supporting more people from the local and wider community to be able to access their community gym. The community gym will be linked to the National Employers Training Scheme which will support the development of a gym specific workforce.

The focus over the April to June period is around the Community Emergency Fund and supporting clubs and organisations who are struggling to cope with the Coronavirus pandemic. Active Humber are here to support clubs and organisations at this time.
