COVID-19 and how Active Humber is operating

13-07-2020

As we adapt to the Covid-19 pandemic and sporting events, leagues and leisure centres have begun to return to the new normal, we remain here to support you.

Active Humber is taking numerous steps to ensure as an organisation we remain Covid-19 secure by keeping our team, partners and all stakeholders safe and continuing to offering the best service we can at this time.

Our team is continuing to work mostly from home and we are contactable by phone, email and various video messaging services. We have put in place measures to make sure that we can continue to connect and engage with the physical activity and sport community.

Telephones: all our office phone lines have been diverted so that we can still answer your calls.

Emails: all our team have full access to emails. If you don’t know the email address of the key contact you are looking for, please get in touch here.

Video calls: If you would prefer to use a video messaging service to the telephone please contact us or send us an email invite and we can connect via an online platform of preference.

Website: Our website is kept up to date with news, jobs, and online events, so please visit this to keep in touch with the physical activity and sport community - www.activehumber.co.uk

Post: We will be opening and reviewing post as and when we can, but please be aware that there may well be significant delays in response times.

Events: We have had to cancel all of our events and we continue to keep people involved via digital formats. We have increased the number of blogs we do and the use of webinars to help our partners in their roles to keep people during these current times.

How to stay active whilst at home: It is great that we can return to leisure centres, swimming pools and gyms and we will continue to compliment that all with our efforts on helping people to stay active whilst at home, there is a lot of advice and help by going to our web page here.

The Team

  • We have a dedicated operational team, who are monitoring the situation daily and adapting our ways of working to respond to the instructions set by the World Health Organisation and the Government
  • We are reviewing our planned activities to ensure that we do everything to keep people physically and mentally active at this time
  • We are keeping up to date with government advice and adapting our business plans to reflect changes. Scaling up and down our response to new information to ensure a flexible and proportionate response
  • We are actively communicating these plans to employees, partners and stakeholders
