Active Humber are seeking to recruit a new Administration Officer to support the core functions of the organisation.

Working across the Humber region, you will play a vital role in strengthening and championing the benefits of physical activity, reducing inequalities, and contributing to health and wellbeing. Providing administrative support across Active Humber, you will have a role in supporting the delivery of numerous strands of work.

We are seeking an organised, hard-working individual with a passion to make a difference.

The role will be a hybrid role, working both in an office based at the Aura Centre and some home working.

The Position

We are seeking a PE Specialist with experience coaching sport or dance to young people and delivering a variety of quality PE lessons to different age groups. You will teach to our delivery standards in a variety of settings.

This is a training role for an individual interested in working towards teaching the next generation of sports coaches. Primarily working with First Step Physical Education and training with First Step Training to become a Tutor Assessor.

Deliver PE lessons and a variety of sports to primary school aged pupils

Knowledge and Experience Requirements

At least a NGB Level 2 Coaching Badge or equivalent
2 years' coaching experience
Teaching qualification - Desirable
A good knowledge of at least 3 areas of the curriculum is essential (Games, Dance, Gymnastics, Athletics, OAA)
Experience creating and following lesson plans
Experience assessing pupil performance
Knowledge and passion for a variety of sports/dance
Excellent organisation and time management skills
Risk Assessment experience
Experience working with a variety of ages
GCSE Maths and English.
First Aid and Child Protection Training - Desirable
Committed to continuous professional development

The Position

We are seeking a full-time Tutor/Assessor with experience working in the Sports Coaching and PE and School Sport industry. We are continually looking to grow our team to help the business achieve its ambitious development plans.

As a qualified Tutor/Assessor you will be responsible for your own learner caseload. You will be required to deliver taught sessions; coordinating the learner journey against qualification standards and internal assessment plans as dictated by the Quality & Curriculum Coordinator.

The successful candidate MUST have experience delivering and assessing apprenticeship frameworks/standards, have a level 2 sports coaching certificate and have experience of delivering sports coaching, physical activity and physical education sessions.

You will be required to complete learner related paperwork and administration completing both KPI and performance reports.

£18,000 - £22,000 DOE

There is an option for 'flexible working' regarding location, as the role can be performed successfully from home.

Responsibilities:


To undertake inductions, assessment, and tutorial work.
Tutor and assess apprenticeship standards.
To teach at various locations as dictated by the company and deliver online training.
Actively participate in and implement the standardisation process.
Participate in the identification of learner needs and plan, develop, monitor, review and evaluate courses and course materials.
Provide learners with Information, advice and guidance when require (signpost when necessary).
Give prompt, accurate and constructive feedback.
Advise the candidate on evidence requirements.
Encourage the candidate to plan, complete and evaluate a workplace project.
Offer advice, as and when necessary, on suitable support strategies and resources.
Able to demonstrate a flexible approach to cater for individual learner needs.


Knowledge and Experience Requirements

Industry competence (particularly in Primary Physical Education) 2 years minimum.
Level 2 Sports Coaching Certificate
Level 3 Award in Education and Training (or equivalent).
Level 3 qualified assessor.
Level 4 Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) qualification. (preferred but not essential)
Full clean driving licence and access to your own transport.
Have a relevant literacy and numeracy qualification at level 2 (GCSE 4/C or above).
Ability to teach a varied programme maintaining a flexible approach to encompass the diversity of learner needs.
Ability to plan, develop and deliver courses.
Knowledge of current developments in subject area.
Evaluation and record keeping skills.
Ability to provide appropriate learner guidance.
A commitment to equality and diversity.
Be conversant with ICT.
Experience of working as a member of a team & evidence of ability to work effectively with colleagues.
Have a proven track record of delivery to a high standard.
