At Active Humber, we promote the importance of physical activity for everyone and support various campaigns to help people get moving. Below are some of the campaigns we work with that provide useful resources and inspiration.
Sport England
Sport England uses insight-driven campaigns to help more people become and stay physically active. Encouraging the benefits of not only physical health but mental well-being too.
This Girl Can encourages women to get active in a way that suits them. The campaign shares real stories and honest images of women exercising to show that fitness isn’t about perfection—it’s about feeling good.
We Are Undefeatable is a campaign that helps people with long-term health conditions stay active. It’s backed by 15 major health charities and Sport England.
The campaign website provides:
✅ Advice and resources to help people with health conditions get active
✅ Stories from real people on how they stay active
✅ Mini workouts and practical ideas for movement
You can also join the Supporter’s Hub for social media resources and engagement tips.
Activity Alliance
Activity Alliance is the leading voice for disabled people in sport and physical activity.
Their mission is to improve opportunities to be active, empowering disabled people to get involved in sport and activities in the way they choose. Activity Alliance work with disabled people and committed strategic partners to build a movement for change.
Disabled people deserve the same rights to be active as everybody else, no matter whether making use of the local gym or becoming an elite athlete.
1 in 4 adults in England and Wales experience a mental health problem each year.
At the same time, the number of children and young people in the UK who are struggling is soaring and Mind's research shows that young people aren’t getting the support they need from school or mental health services.
Mind are campaigning to make sure every young person gets the mental health support they deserve.
British Blind Sport works to ensure that people with sight loss have the same opportunities as sighted people to access and enjoy sport and physical activity.
BBS want more people with sight loss to get involved and feel the benefits as participants or spectators.
Research shows that blind and partially sighted people are twice as likely to be inactive compared to people without sight loss. We want to change this.
Through See Sport Differently we are determined to challenge perceptions about sport and sight loss, so that blind and partially sighted people can get involved however they want to.
That’s why the Government and Sport England are backing the Let’s Move! campaign — helping families stay active together and make movement part of everyday life.
Why being active matters for children and young people:
Boosts behaviour, confidence and social skills
Improves focus and school performance
Builds coordination
Strengthens muscles and bones
Supports overall health and fitness
Helps maintain a healthy weight
