There are packages of support available through Crowdfunder to individual organisations.

Hull Ionians

Hull Ionians, a rugby union club in Brantingham, East Riding took up Crowdfunding challenge and raised an incredible £60,000, three times their original target! Here is what they had to say:

"Initially the thought of taking on a Crowdfunding campaign felt daunting, especially when you are reliant on a team of busy volunteers. There was a lot to learn! The training videos were very informative and this alongside Chloe, our contact at Crowdfunder who was an excellent source of support we were able to successfully run our campaign.

Running a Crowdfunder Campaign

Our promotional video couldn’t be described as a Hollywood blockbuster, but it effectively told our story in less than five minutes, sharing what we were looking to achieve. We needed a full team effort and enlisted the support of several Club volunteers who were each given specific roles and we were delighted to find skills that we had not been aware of amongst our membership which will be helpful in the future. We reached out to our local community, members, players, supporters and friends, both past and present to support us. We utilised social media to reach as many people as possible.

Incentives and Donations

We chose a six week campaign which worked great for us. We reached our initial goal within the first two weeks and we were able to stretch and increase this target. Some of our individual teams wanted to get involved and they ran socially distanced events to increase the donations. We offered discounted club jerseys amongst other incentives to encourage people to donate."
