Trinity Boxing Club, Cleethorpes has been awarded the “Inclusive Award” by Active Humber for their commitment to supporting people living with a long term health condition accessing physical activity.
The boxing club has opened its doors to people living with neurological conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinsons. After receiving funding through the Get Out Get Active Project hosted by Active Humber thanks to funding from the Activity Alliance. A wide range of physical activity sessions have been delivered to the participants. Such as strength and conditioning classes, yoga and boxercise. These sessions were adapted to be done both standing and seated.
The participants not only keep active but there is a great social side to the groups who meet regularly at the centre for tea and cake too.
