Active Humber are seeking to recruit a new Development Manager (Community & Inequalities) on a 2-year fixed term contract, however we are keen to continue the role beyond this period.
The role is to cover maternity leave, to support the development and organisation of physical activity and sport opportunities specifically for young people in a community setting across the Humber, with another year to work alongside our Development Manager (Children and Young People; Community) to develop opportunities for specific groups of young people who face the greatest inequalities to be physically active. Our aim is to break the cycle of disadvantage and disengagement of children and young people in a community setting, and using physical activity and sport to build aspirations, make positive choices and improve life chances.
As a Development team member, you will be responsible for developing partnerships to increase regular participation in physical activity and sport by children and young people, in a community setting particularly those impacted by health, social or economic inequalities. This role will specifically work with young people from lower socio-economic groups, those with a disability, from culturally diverse communities and those within the LGBT+ community.
