Active Humber is proud to support Sport England Chair, Chris Boardman, as he embarks on an inspiring journey to tackle climate change. Chris will lead the 'Pedal for Paris', an eight-day bike ride from Manchester to Paris, ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. This event aims to galvanise the sport and physical activity sector to enhance its efforts in addressing environmental sustainability.
Starting on the 16th July, the 'Pedal for Paris' ride is a key component of Sport England’s broader sustainability strategy, 'Every Move'. The strategy seeks to reduce the carbon footprint of sport and promote eco-friendly practices within the sector. Chris Boardman's journey symbolises a commitment to fostering a sustainable future and encourages others to join in this crucial effort.
