We are excited to announce that Active Humber is proudly supporting the BBC Radio 2 Let’s Move It campaign, a six-week summer initiative aimed at motivating the nation to get active. This campaign aligns perfectly with our mission to promote physical activity and well-being across our communities.
We are particularly thrilled to share that Barton Trinity Church in Barton upon Humber will be featured in this campaign. Barton Trinity was funded through the Get Out Get Active programme and the Together Fund to deliver a variety of activities for their older congregation. These activities include chair-based exercise, seated yoga, and strength and conditioning classes focusing on mobility and flexibility. All sessions are held in the main hall at Barton Trinity Church, providing a welcoming and supportive environment for both disabled and non-disabled participants to enjoy being active together. Barton Trinity Church has been featured on BBC Radio 2 on Good Morning Sunday this Sunday (4th August 2024). It’s a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the positive impact of physical activity initiatives in our community and to inspire others to get involved.
