Several parks and green spaces in the Humber have won the Green Flag Award

Some of the Humber's parks and green spaces have been announced as one of the UK’s best in the 2025 Green Flag Awards.

Environmental charity, Keep Britain Tidy revealed the winners in the Humber as:

• The Pocklington canal in East Riding of Yorkshire
• East Park in Hull
• Pearson Park in Hull
• Baysgarth Park in North Lincolnshire 
• Bridge View Park (Formerly Humber Bridge Gateway) in North Lincolnshire
• Central Park Scunthorpe in North Lincolnshire
• Woodlands Memorial Park and Crematorium in North Lincolnshire

Around 2,250 parks and green spaces across the UK have earned the Green Flag Award this year, the highest number ever.

Parks play a crucial role in our communities, offering space for exercise, relaxation, and boosting mental and physical health, even in busy cities.

The Green Flag Award is the benchmark international quality classification for parks and green spaces and encourages local people to lead healthy lifestyles.
