Little Victories in the Community is a Community Interest Company, based in Barton-upon-Humber, founded in 2022 with the aim to change lives through sport.
It was a day filled with excitement, nerves, and pride for the LVFC players as they prepared to represent their club on a national stage.
Little Victories got off to the perfect start, opening the day with an impressive 3–0 win. From there the teams unbeaten run continued thanks to some fantastic teamwork, determination, and resilience throughout.
Everything came down to the fifth and final game of the day, where Little Victories faced Newcastle United in a winner-takes-all clash to decide the overall winners.
The attitude, effort and enthusiasm shown by every player throughout the tournament was inspirational with each member of the squad doing themselves and the club proud.
The Little Victories players gave absolutely everything against Newcastle, determined to bring the trophy, but in the end it was Newcastle United were crowned champions, with Little Victories FC finishing in a fantastic second place.
Whilst they narrowly missed out on the title the team left with far more than medals; taking home unforgettable memories, lifelong friendships and immense pride in what they achieved together.
A huge congratulations to every player who took part as well as a massive thank you to CP Sport for organising another brilliant event.
The hard work continues for Little Victories FC, with the players already back in training and looking ahead to next year’s competition.
