We’re showing that being active can look different for everyone. So far, the team has been out walking, lifting weights, climbing and getting those all-important dog walks in too! We’re really enjoying the challenge and, even more importantly, how it’s bringing us closer together as a team.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve loved sharing what we’ve been trying, discovering new ways to get active and talking about how positive movement has made us feel afterwards.
It’s a great reminder that movement doesn’t have to mean one particular activity, it’s about finding something that works for you and building more movement into everyday life.
Movement can be a great way to challenge yourself and to gain new experiences. Over the summer I challenged myself to venture further afield than my local climbing gym and tried outdoor bouldering at a beautiful spot in Yorkshire. I found climbing on real outdoor rock both more challenging and more rewarding. Thankfully I had the help of a great instructor.
Our Get Active page explores different tips, ideas and ways to find activities near you. If you want to get moving in the Humber but don't know where to start, check out our page here.
We’re looking forward to continuing this fantastic challenge and would encourage everyone to find a way to get moving that works for them. You never know you might discover a new activity you love!
