We have been working with Press Red to produce a Covid-19 specific insight pack showing the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on activity levels covering from mid-March to mid-November 2020.

Inactivity increased during the most stringent lockdowns with, 1 in 4 people being recorded to be participating in ‘no sessions’ of sport or physical activity. 

There were changes to the way we got active. The amount of time spent doing ‘traditional sport’ decreased by 45% and almost two thirds of all active minutes came from walking for leisure or gardening.
