Hull and East Yorkshire Mind’s new initiative The New Year, True Me campaign challenges the traditional pressures of New Year’s resolutions by celebrating the small wins.
The campaign will run from December 27 to January 10 and will promote key themes of self-acceptance, individuality, and the importance of mental well-being.
Hull and East Yorkshire Mind said: “Rather than emphasising the need to change, we want to encourage people to pause, reflect, and celebrate the progress they’ve made—no matter how small.
“Embracing our true selves, rather than chasing unrealistic expectations, can lead to a more positive and fulfilling start to the year.”
The start of the new year often comes with an overwhelming sense of expectation and a collective pressure to set ambitious resolutions, reinvent ourselves and achieve big changes.
New Year, True Me aims to shift the narrative by creating a supportive space for reflection, connection, and empowerment, reminding everyone that every step forward, no matter how small, is worth celebrating.
