- Remove single use items
- Offer clearly labelled recycling bins
- Suggest lift sharing or carpooling
- Environmentally sustainability checklist
The SECC Resource Hub
The Sport Environment and Climate Coalition (SECC) is leading and coordinating the sector's efforts on climate change and environmental sustainability.
Here is the SECC Resource Hub where you can find lots of useful information on climate change and how it relates to sport.
How Active Humber are supporting the SECC work:
Active Humber are transitioning to a net zero approach through influencing the ability to being able to make change happen at a local level.
We have signed the Yorkshire and Humber Climate Action Pledge (You can Sign up here!)
The unique role that Active Partnerships play in getting the nation active and reducing sedentary behaviours by encouraging people to be physically active, as well as getting people to walk and cycle short journeys are all great ways to reduce carbon emissions. Active Partnerships have a critical role to help people be active for themselves, their community, and the planet.
What can you do to help support SECC?
Working collaboratively with Active Humber, clubs and with the government at a national and local level will help to deliver meaningful change.
